Welcome to Lester's web site! Lester is our nine year old Hungarian Vizsla, who was named after Jazz great Lester "Prez" Young. True to Lester's famous tune, our Lester "Leaps In" all day long!

The Hungarian Vizsla is one of the oldest hunting dogs on record, dating back to the 10th Century. They are bright, funny, athletic, energetic, and extremely affectionate. Owning a Vizsla is not a casual endeavor, as they will be "in your face and in your space" all day long. They don't call them "velcro" dogs for nothing!! Lester is above the standard for the breed, so he is a bit taller than most Vizslas. He does, however, have that amazing Vizsla energy level, so most days you will find him happily running through the fields and woods, sniffing out anything and everything in his path.
